Full-Service Support Beyond Just Transport
Transporting heavy equipment isnt always as simple as loading and going. Sometimes machines dont run. Sometimes space is tight. Thats why Amity offers full support from start to finish.
Mechanical Help & Loading Services. If your machine isnt running or ready to be moved, we can:
- Do a basic mechanical check or repair to get it started
- Lift and load it safely using cranes or special equipment
- Arrange local contractors or loading crews if needed
Well figure out the best way to move your equipment, even when its not easy.
Need to Move Oversize Equipment?
Some equipment is too tall, wide, or heavy to ship under standard transport rules. If your machine is
wider than 8.5 feet or taller than 12 feet (measured without the trailer), its considered oversize.
Because trailer heights vary (from 1 to 5 feet) and each state has its own maximum legal height typically between 13 and 14 feet combined we plan carefully to make sure your total height stays within legal limits, or we secure the right permits when it doesnt.
We handle:
- Oversize permits for every state along your route
- Pilot cars or escorts where required
- Custom route planning to avoid restricted bridges, tunnels, and overpasses – Full DOT and FMCSA compliance from start to finish
See how we handle Oversized Load Transport for more details.

Equipment Transport FAQs
We’ll help get it loaded whether that means fixing it up, lifting it, or rolling it on with help from a local crew.
If its over 8.5 feet wide or 12 feet tall on its own, it usually qualifies as oversized. We take total height (equipment + trailer) into account because legal limits vary by state, usually between 13 and 14 feet total. We handle all permits, escorts, and planning.
For standard-size loads, we can usually pick up within 14 business days. Oversized machinery or loads requiring extra planning may take more time to coordinate properly.
Definitely. We work with major auction houses like Ritchie Bros., IronPlanet, and Bidadoo, and weve handled hundreds of jobsite pickups. We know how to work with tight spaces, limited access, and auction protocols.
It depends on the size, distance, trailer type, and any special services (like tarping, loading help, or permits). Well give you a clear quote no guesswork, no hidden fees.
